February President's Report
Our next General Membership Meeting is on Thursday, February 2nd at Lilly
Kazzilly's Crab Shack, 9550 Riverside Dr. E. at 8PM. The February meeting has
been moved ahead as most of the Executives and members will be away on the Whistler trip.
The weather is still not showing a lot of promise for those of us who wouldn't
mind doing some local skiing. But there is snow out there and we'll just have to
enjoy what we get. Mary & I were just out west for two weeks and conditions were
tolerable. That's Skiing!
With our meeting being a week early, and most of the membership going to
Whistler right after, the last trip to get aboard is Boyne weekend March 2nd to
the 4th. I have room for more, but this will be the last opportunity to sign up.
When we get back from Whistler I will have to submit a rooming list. If you want
to enjoy a great weekend from really nice accommodations to outstanding breakfast,
fun skiing/boarding and a couple of evenings to relax and enjoy the company of
spectacular people…..let me know now!
Hope to see everyone at the Meeting!

From Our Vice President
Many thanks to all of the Executive (in particular Carl who merits special mention),
for the continuous efforts put into making the WSSC so successful and so much
fun for us all! Of course, the Membership makes it all worthwhile and you know
how much I enjoy your company! Can hardly wait to catch up with everyone on the
Whistler trip!
I continue to attend the monthly Michigan Detroit Ski Council (MDSC) meetings in
the Detroit area, and believe that our Club does benefit from this representation.
Check out the MDSC website www.mdscski.org and be sure to save the date of
May 10th, 2012 for the upcoming MDSC Ski Travel Expo being held at the Dearborn Double Tree Hotel.
My role as Public Relations Director also has hopefully contributed to the increase
in newcomers and in new members. Thanks to our local radio station AM800 CKLW for
advertising and broadcasting our monthly meetings. Much fun is to be had in
Whistler and apparently there is way too much snow already there!
Ski" ya at this Thursday's meeting!
