March 2010 President's Report
Hi Skiers and Boarders. My March message includes Happy Birthday wishes to a
lot of our members who celebrated their birthdays recently. Off the top of my
head there was Ron, Sarge, Sue, John N, Todd, Eileen, Shirley, Bob J and myself.
Sorry if I missed yours!
February was a great month for the club. We had a great trip to Jackson Hole,
some media coverage of the club, and a successful monthly meeting with lots of
new guests interested in finding out more about our activities. Ted has been
working diligently putting together another weekend trip to New York for those
still wanting more.
We had nominations in February for our Executive Committee for next year,
which will be decided on at our April meeting, with a lot of interest shown
by different members for various positions.
Mary is working on a summer-time wine bus tour, plus she has been planning
a season end party at Lilly Kazilly's which she can tell you more about.
The Executive is meeting next week to work on improving our club for next year
and possible improvements to our website. We have been taking feedback from our
members about things they like and don't like and we hope to continue to make
small changes towards improving the club moving forward.
We have two groups traveling to Utah and Colorado in March. We wish each of
you a safe and snowy trip.
A note to those who were in Jackson and who were falsely accused of stealing
the snow mascot, "coq au vin", of condo #7, you will be pleased to know that
the culprit has been positively identified, and sentencing will occur shortly
for the guilty party. Interestingly enough, when the snow mascot was missing,
there was no fresh snow those days. Go Figure!!
Next meeting is March 11th, and April 8th meeting is elections. Although our
trips are mostly wrapped up, be sure to attend these important meetings. Further
activities will be discussed. Hope everyone is well. See you soon.
sincerely, Carl White,
President Windsor Ski and Snowboard Club
